Designed to improve healthy conditions in the home, this air purifier from Panasonic tracks dust, pollen, and smoke while trapping particulates and odors with a dual-filter system. The unit is constructed with a straightforward control panel for simple operation and monitoring. Sized for rooms up to 12 by 18 feet, it uses a HEPA filter to capture 99.97 percent of airborne particles and a deodorizing filter to eliminate unpleasant odors. The three standard fan speeds are supplemented by a "super" setting for times when there is a high need for speedy purification. An automatic setting operates in conjunction with the unit's Micro Dust Sensor to select an appropriate speed based on the level of particles passing through the sensor. Illuminated lights show which settings are in operation at any given time.

Slim and trim for easy placement, the purifier is constructed to be quiet in use. It includes a filter check system to signal when filters need changing, and a constant air-quality gauge to show how much filtration is occurring. The air intake grille is removable for easy cleaning, and the housing wipes down easily. Both filters are easy to replace. Panasonic estimates that the HEPA filter will provide about 3 years of use, while the deodorizing filter will last about a year on average.
