BEST CANNED TUNA EVER! Over the years canned tuna has lost its taste. I have used this Chicken of the Sea product in casseroles, sandwiches and salads. It is incredibly good and healthy. I cannot say enough about this product!...more info
Genova Tonno This is the best bang for the buck in yellow-fin in olive oil tuna. Olive oil is a preferred fat as is tuna. A small can of this tuna, an apple, a small v-8 and you have a lunch less than 300 calories with enough protein to keep you satisfied. I have seen similar products in gormet magazines for rediculous prices and this product is reasonably priced and of such a high quality, that one need not add mayonaise, relish, and all those flavor boosting additives. It is wonderful by itself or atop a salad with lemon juice for a meal of less than 300 calories.

Outstanding Consistently outstanding. I have searched and searched for a tuna product without soy bean oil as I am allergic to anything made with soy. Eureeka! Since I found Genova tuna, I buy no other brand. Thank you so much for developing this product. I would be interested in knowing how it came to be ceated.
incredible tuna - mix it (drained) with shredded apple! Major Market decided to quit stocking this in their northern San Diego county stores.
Stater Brothers and Ralph's still carry it, though....more info
Excellent tuna for the price Incomparably better than regular tuna. My favorite for all uses. ...more info
Tuna at its best This tuna at its very best. Packed in olive oil and then only the best cuts of the fish, you can open this and go straight to the Salad Nicoise you really wanted. Or just put the tuna on some toast and sprinkle with some balsamic vinegar. Either way, you will smile. ...more info
Best Darn Tunafish in all of Christendom. . . OK - I know it seems ridiculous to review tunafish online, but I'm currently working in montreal and there is NO canned tunafish that is as good as this brand. Sure they have olive oil and all sorts of tuna infused flavors like dill, peanut and sundried tomato, but even their Italian "gourmet" tunafish does not have the olive oil infused almost creaminess and texture of this tuna. I don't know what they do to this tunafish, but this is the best tunafish. Hats off to Chicken of the Sea. Better buy up before there's no more tuna in the ocean. ...more info
The best tuna in a can This tuna will make you rethink those casserole and sandwich recipes. Packed in good quality olive oil, it is tender and flavorful and tastes like -- well -- tuna!
Cook your pasta, add your favorite sauce in a jar, and at the end, put in a can of this tuna (drained). Don't break it up too much, just heat it through. Or just pile the tuna on a sandwich with a little mayo and some pickles on the side.
I buy it by the case (much cheaper than in the Italian delis) and give it to people I really really like....more info

Good tuna (not the best, but good) and a great value This is not the best canned tuna I've had--that is sold by Ortiz and is more expensive. I save that for special dishes. This is what I use for tuna salad. It is good, comparable to Cento tuna, and far superior to anything I can buy in my small-town Ohio grocery stores. The 6-oz. can is a nice size and the pack of 24 cans is a superb value....more info
Fantastic flavor! I had heard that tuna packed in olive oil tastes better than any other type, but until recently I had never tried it. I found this tuna at a bent & dent store, and bought 4 cans. I wish I'd have bought more! As soon as I opened the can, the smell was so good I just knew it would taste good as well. It was far less "greasy" than tuna packed in vegetable oil. I simply set it on paper towels for a while to get the excess oil off. The texture was lovely, and the taste was just fabulous. I thought I liked tuna before, but now I love it! I could just eat the whole can of it with a fork and be perfectly happy. It makes the absolutely best tuna salad I've ever made, and it's awesome simply plain on top of lettuce with a little dressing.
My only problem with it is that it is quite a bit more pricey than what I used to buy, but I will simply adjust, because it's worth it....more info
Straight from the can! Yum! When I get home, I just get the can opener and eat straight from the can! yumm! ...more info
Awesome Tuna This is a great product. It's good for sandwiches, salads, or just eating out of the can with some salt and pepper. I don't know why it's not more available, but it's great. ...more info
Oil packed tuna Fantastic delicate flavor, great in tomato pasta sauce...or on Italian bread directly from the can with American cheese.. Delicious!!!! In Antipasta it adds such a flavor to the meats and cheeses already there......more info
You will love Genova Tonno Tuna! I got very spoiled when I lived in a big city having access to this brand of canned tuna packed in olive oil. The flavor and quality truly canot be beat! Recently, I moved to the country where there are no grocery/specialty stores that carry this product or anything close. I was so happy when I found that I could order it on line. Everyone that I serve this tuna to agrees that it is the best!! You can literally eat it right out of the can with a fork! ...more info
Excellent, tasty tuna! The tuna is the best canned I have found thus far. Unlike the tuna that is found on store shelves today, either watered down or swimming in a no taste oil. The Genova Tonno tuna packed in olive oil is excellent to cook with; it imparts its flavor throughout the dish you are preparing. It is also very chunky not broken up like the tuna being canned nowadays. I will be ordering another case soon and I very much recommend it. ...more info
best canned tuna, period. 130 calories, 0 carb, 14g protein, 2g saturated fat (6g healthy fats), 30mg cholesterol. high in omega-3s, free of any preservatives or fillers. if healthy foods are what you're after and you're not afraid of deep sea fish, this tuna is a very good choice!
if flavor and texture are what you're after, on the other hand... this tuna is still a great choice! this is the only olive-oil packed tuna i've tried so far, and i've liked it so much i've stayed put (i've heard good things about progresso's, which is similarly priced, and some brands that are out of my price range-- frankly, i just can't afford to fall in love with a $32 can of tuna...)
the first thing you'll notice on opening a can of this tuna is that the contents smell *good* -- not rankly fishy, not oily, not acrid or stale. it's yellowfin, not albacore, and the flesh is pink and comes in thick, meaty layers, not watery bits and pieces the way some tunas often are packed. the texture is succulent-- moist without being watery and rich without being greasy. the flavor is good, too-- the tuna itself has a very satisfying meatiness to it, fine tuna flavor heightened with a bit of salt, and the olive oil gives a little green sweetness at the same time. it's the only tuna i've felt compelled to describe as "beautiful" right out of the can... also great in casseroles, on canapes, in tuna salad sandwiches, etc. it has a robust flavor that stands well on its own and also performs well alongside other ingredients.
of course it's a good idea to keep an eye on the amount of fish you consume, particularly tuna, which has been documented as containing high levels of heavy metals in several studies. look up guidelines suggested by the Seafood Choices Alliance and the Environment Defense organization if you're unsure of what is generally regarded as safe for someone of your age and gender. That said, when you do consume tuna, it should be GOOD tuna. this is the canned tuna that i buy for myself, and i DO find it to be GOOD! i think you will, as well.
Best Tasting Tuna On The Market Take it from an Italian, this is the best tuna and so glad I found it at Amazon. Can't find it anywhere in Las Vegas. The family had this shipped from NY to us because it's worth it.
Try it with pasta. Put some olive oil in a pan, sliced up garlic, red onions, and some tomato sauce. When the onion and garlic is translucent (don't let it burn), add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream, add the whole can of tuna (oil included), mix it all up and put it over your pasta...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...more info
